Hmm I’m a little conflicted with this one。 I loved the relationship between Player and Zyah。 They seemed pretty perfect together。 I also loved Zyah’s relationship with her grandmother。 They were just so sweet with one another。 I loved their energy throughout the whole book。 It was also nice to see Hannah in this book, it makes me want to go back and re-read the sea Haven books。 But I felt this book missed some of that exciting danger that others in the series had。 Yes there was a conflict, a few Hmm I’m a little conflicted with this one。 I loved the relationship between Player and Zyah。 They seemed pretty perfect together。 I also loved Zyah’s relationship with her grandmother。 They were just so sweet with one another。 I loved their energy throughout the whole book。 It was also nice to see Hannah in this book, it makes me want to go back and re-read the sea Haven books。 But I felt this book missed some of that exciting danger that others in the series had。 Yes there was a conflict, a few in fact, but it just didn’t seem as interesting or compelling。 One of them sort of just flopped into nothing (I’m looking at you creepy, malevolent eyes)。 Not my favorite one in the series。 But I would read it again just for player and Zyah and Anat。 Also Savage with Anat was just adorable。 。。。more

I truly do not know what to say。。。All the Torpedo Ink books are unique and completely enthralling。 This novel however, was beyond, amazing! I was so drawn into the abilities both Player and Zyah possessed。 Mama Anat was completely amazing secondary character, and frankly, as with all the Torpedo Ink novels, all the characters are so amazing you feel as if you are part of the story。 Quite the talent, Ms Feehan。After reading this with double the suspense (conflict), I am so ready for the next。 Hon I truly do not know what to say。。。All the Torpedo Ink books are unique and completely enthralling。 This novel however, was beyond, amazing! I loved it。 Player has to reveal a secret he has kept hidden from everyone, for fear of rejection from his family all his life。 Now because of a head wound his powers are becoming more uncontrollable when he dreams。 To keep everyone safe he must tell them about how dangerous his "illusions" can be。 He is racing to get home fighting fatigue & the fear that he won't make it in time to close himself off from everyone & sleep off the illusions he is starting to see around him。 What the other's don't I loved it。 Player has to reveal a secret he has kept hidden from everyone, for fear of rejection from his family all his life。 Now because of a head wound his powers are becoming more uncontrollable when he dreams。 To keep everyone safe he must tell them about how dangerous his "illusions" can be。 He is racing to get home fighting fatigue & the fear that he won't make it in time to close himself off from everyone & sleep off the illusions he is starting to see around him。 What the other's don't know is that if he holds an illusion too long or gets too tired, he can no longer tell what is real & what isn't。 Then it can become reality, no matter what he has made up。 After getting stopped by Jackson for speeding, he is really pressed for time。 He makes it to the clubhouse, but there is a party & he just wants a shower & sleep。 He gets out of the shower & goes to his room。 He finds a beautiful belly dancer in his room, who seems to ease his mind。 At first he thinks his brothers hired her to help him unwind。 As he is spending this wonderful night with this woman who he can connect with, he doesn't believe she is real, no one could be that perfect。 He must have dreamed her。 So, when it slows down & she is going to sleep in his bed, he pretty much kicks her out with a handful of cash & tells her to leave her number。 Zyah, who thought she had met the one for her, is crushed。 She leaves the money & goes home。 When Player wakes up & starts to notice things that shouldn't be in his room, clothes on the floor, a wad of cash on the nightstand, he starts to replay last night in his mind。 The woman was real! She was the woman for him, & he had been a real ass to her at the end。 He doesn't even know her last name! Frantic to find out who she is & see if he can fix this before it is too late he has the videos pulled up to try to find her。 He sees her leaving, she is crying walking out the door。 He really feels bad now, he has everyone trying to find out who she is & where she is。 Zyah is telling Mama Anat how they had connected & what she had thought。 She is connected to the earth like her grandmother, who raised her。 Both of her parents have been gone since she was 5。 She had just left a good job to come home to Sea Haven & take care of her grandmother who had recently been robbed & beaten so badly she had a broken arm & fractured leg。 There seem to have been several senior homes hit & all the same MO。 Jonas & Jackson are trying to figure it out but they are only 2 men。 It seems to be a gang moving from little town to little town。 Not staying to long in one area。 There always seems to be an informer on the inside of the community to tell the gang who to go after。 Before they move on that person is usually killed。 That is almost all that is known about them for now。 Player finds out Zyah will be running their store, & in the process, learns what happened to Mama Anat。 The vote goes out to find the gang & put a stop to the seniors being hurt。 Zyah sees Player outside the store, & doesn't want to talk。 The rest of the group tell her she will be escorted home for protection, & that they had heard about what happened to Mama Anat。 They would like to meet her。 Player & Maestro are the ones to escort her home that night。 Maestro was a little behind, he had something to do。 Zyah is in the garage, Player parks his bike to come in。 The door starts to close & he rolls under, Zyah is fighting with 2 men trying to drag her out。 They hear a woman yelling to mess her up in the back ground。 Player rolls over the hood of her car to get at a different one & gets his gun。 He gets shot, but manages to shoot 2 of the men on the way out the door。 Maestro gets there & they call Steelle。 The doc is the only one who has the gift to help heal that brain injury。 Zyah stays with him as they put him in her bedroom to work on him。 Her connection to him helps ground him & keep his mind from going crazy。 Mama Anat doesn't know someone tried to kidnap her & she'd like to keep it that way。 Player tried to explain why he had behaved the way he did to her the other night, but she isn't to sure she believes him。 As she stays with him during the nights he starts having nightmares & she is seeing everything he suffered as a child, a teen as well。 He tries to push her away, ashamed of what she is seeing。 After they hear that while Zyah had been at the clubhouse, there had been another try on her house。 She had just changed the locks, someone had a key。 If she hadn't shoved a chair under the doorknob they would have gotten in。 Now at least 2 men a night are there inside while 1 is watching the place outside。 Jonas has added an extra drive by at night。 A few more brothers are keeping watch around the neighborhood。 One of the thing Player was forced to do was build bombs, & always timed。 He had to make it faster than the last time or be severally punished。 When he was little they were like puzzles to him, a place to get his mind off things。 So, that is what he does when he gets agitated, or stressed。 Instead of counting numbers like some people do, in his mind he is putting together bombs。 During his latest nightmares he has started building one he has never seen before, & it scares him because one of the last times before Zyah was able to wake him he was almost finished。 Now that she has connected with him again she is can really see what he is dreaming。 She starts to see the other figure he mentioned in the background。 Both feel like someone is in the room watching them。 The more Player thinks about it, the more he decides it has something to do with a beloved drawing her grandfather made of her grandmother。 That & the frame her father built for it。 It seems to change shape in his dreams & the person is in it。 It starts bothering him more & more。 His headaches & nightmares are getting worse。 He fears he will harm them。 Player wants to show Zyah how much he sees in her, he goes to Hannah Drakes shop, she makes lotions & body oils。 He tells her about Zyah being on her feet all day, & asks if she would help him find something for her。 She makes a few things for him & shows him how to massage her feet & legs。 He takes that along with some bath salts for her。 She is very touched that he would think to do something so nice for her! It feels so good! Jonas & Jackson stop by to ask about 2 bodies who have been in the ocean for a couple of weeks。 As Player gets more upset he starts making that bomb in his head again。 This time it's too close Jonas, Mama Anat, Zyah & Player can all hear it ticking until Zyah distracts him enough to get him focused out of his head。 That seals it, now he will have to tell Czar & everyone how dangerous he really is, & hope they don't reject him。 He & Zyah ride out to the farm so he can explain。 When they get to the nightmares, Czar thinks they should write everything down & compare notes, the next time it happens。 Player takes her to his house to show her around & hope she likes it。 Zyah gets back to work the next day, when she is closing it, Francine, 。。。more

A must read for any long or new reader of Christine Feeham。She is back, this is a story like the ones that hooked me on her writing。 Love, action, a great story line。 More story then the way things had been。 Tender careing love, not the over the top rough to porn sex that has been in the last several series。The danger for Player and those close to him the Zyah mistake with Zyah and his sweet efforts to get her back, plus the whole clubs protectiveness of the elderly in the town。A MUST READ for e A must read for any long or new reader of Christine Feeham。She is back, this is a story like the ones that hooked me on her writing。 Love, action, a great story line。 More story then the way things had been。 Tender careing love, not the over the top rough to porn sex that has been in the last several series。The danger for Player and those close to him the Zyah mistake with Zyah and his sweet efforts to get her back, plus the whole clubs protectiveness of the elderly in the town。A MUST READ for everyone。 。。。more

A little slowThis particular Torpedo book was a bit slow and drawn out。 Unfortunately these books seem to have mixed sex scenes with Character Development。 The suspense within the storyline has become so little that it feels like the storyline is lost。

Torpedo Ink is rough and steamy and mind boggling。 This is Player's story and his gift is a blessing, a curse, and, to him, a weak link。 This is a standalone story but is so much better when read in order。 So many twists and turns, both in Player's life and his lady's。 Like so many of Christine Feehan's stories, this is a page turner。 Best of all, as the tale develops, the reader is treated to side stories for the brothers and sisters of Torpedo Ink (and so many clues to future stories)。 Bravo!! I love this series。 This one was not quite as gritty as the earlier books but like each of the books has a personality all it's own。 I loved the humor, Preacher in the Floating Hat was a hoot, as was Jonas。 Player and Zyah are a good couple and I love how all the "boys", especially Savage and Destroyer became so attached to Mama Anat。 Just an all around great book。 Can't wait for the next one, though I know I must。 I love this series。 This one was not quite as gritty as the earlier books but like each of the books has a personality all it's own。 I loved the humor, Preacher in the Floating Hat was a hoot, as was Jonas。 Player and Zyah are a good couple and I love how all the "boys", especially Savage and Destroyer became so attached to Mama Anat。 Just an all around great book。 Can't wait for the next one, though I know I must。 。。。more

Engaging Here is the next terrific addition to the Torpedo Ink Series with Player and Zyah。 What makes this book extra awesome for me, is that we get more interaction with previously introduced characters, particularly Hannah。 I laughed so hard when Preacher was in Hannah’s store and was going toe-to-toe with her apprentice who gave as good as she got。 I smell a potential future story there。 The only reason I can’t give this one five stars is because of the ending。 I felt that a few of the story Engaging Here is the next terrific addition to the Torpedo Ink Series with Player and Zyah。 What makes this book extra awesome for me, is that we get more interaction with previously introduced characters, particularly Hannah。 I laughed so hard when Preacher was in Hannah’s store and was going toe-to-toe with her apprentice who gave as good as she got。 I smell a potential future story there。 The only reason I can’t give this one five stars is because of the ending。 I felt that a few of the story arch’s were not sufficiently closed and answered。 It just ended。 I don’t what to say too much for those who have yet to read this book。 I absolutely recommend the author。 She is one of my most favourite and I’ll definitely be re-reading this book to catch the nuances I missed the first time。 。。。more

Zyah Gamal was just looking for a quiet refuge in the middle of a legendary Torpedo Ink party。 What she found was an indescribably beautiful man who gave her the most sensual night of her life – right before he shattered her heart。 She doesn’t have time to mourn the loss of what could have been because she has a grandmother to take care of。 Mama Anat is the reason that she’s come to Sea Haven。 And she’s not going anywhere until she’s safe from the danger lurking in the shadows。Zyah knew she shou Zyah Gamal was just looking for a quiet refuge in the middle of a legendary Torpedo Ink party。 What she found was an indescribably beautiful man who gave her the most sensual night of her life – right before he shattered her heart。 She doesn’t have time to mourn the loss of what could have been because she has a grandmother to take care of。 Mama Anat is the reason that she’s come to Sea Haven。 And she’s not going anywhere until she’s safe from the danger lurking in the shadows。Zyah knew she should let him leave。 Go to his brothers in Torpedo Ink。 Let them take him to his clubhouse。 Find a way to try to separate herself from him。 She was already tangled with him so tightly she knew it would hurt for years to come when they separated。 Something undefined, some powerful portent inside, told her if she let him go, he would die。 She couldn’t do that。 She was always intelligent enough to listen to her instincts, and everything in her shouted to keep him close。 She hoped it wasn’t just her wanting to belong to him。 Could she really be that lonely? She doubted it。 She was independent。 She knew she always would be, even if she found the perfect man。Gedeon "Player" Lazaroff survived the horrors of his childhood with the help of his club and his gift。 The more that he uses this gift, the more fragmented his mind becomes。 When the beautiful dancer in his room turns out to be the only woman who can heal him - body and soul, he’s hell-bent on proving himself worthy of her love。 But there’s a darkness reaching out for him。 He’s going to protect his woman and those that he loves at all costs。 Even if it means sacrificing everything he is。Player felt Zyah’s presence before she even appeared on the staircase。 He turned slowly to look up to watch her descend。 It was almost a compulsion。 A need just to be in the room with her。 To breathe her in, to see her like this, doing mundane, simple, everyday things。 She flowed in silence down the stairs like the dancer she was, so gorgeous she took his breath away。 Her beauty wasn’t just skin deep。 He didn’t think she was perfect for him because he found her curvy body sinful beyond temptation, a playground he could spend hours teasing and playing with, or even because she had a gift that could counter the mess of his own talent。 She was unique。 A soft-spoken woman unafraid of hard work, capable of unconditional love and loyal to a fault。 She was worth fighting for, and he’d be a damn fool to let her slip away because he was afraid of failure。In this brand-new installment of her MC series, Christine reveals one of her most independent heroines yet。 Multidimensional and highly intelligent, Zyah is as determined as she is nurturing。 She radiates a compassion that stands in perfect balance with Player’s silent ferocity。 Together, they form a metaphysical force strong enough to join the ranks of Torpedo Ink。Raw and atmospheric with a touch of Christine’s one-of-a-kind sensual burn, Reckless Road is nothing short of sublime… 。。。more

Love this story and what it adds to the Torpedo Ink series。 We start off learning why Player was so quiet in previous books, come to know his psychic gifts and what happens with them when he is tired, has used them too long and migraines begin。 We meet the heroine, Zyah, who has amazing psychic gifts herself。 We learn she can sooth Player, distract him, and help him control his overwrought abilities and the danger they can bring to innocent people and those he cares about…a danger he has kept fr Love this story and what it adds to the Torpedo Ink series。 We start off learning why Player was so quiet in previous books, come to know his psychic gifts and what happens with them when he is tired, has used them too long and migraines begin。 We meet the heroine, Zyah, who has amazing psychic gifts herself。 We learn she can sooth Player, distract him, and help him control his overwrought abilities and the danger they can bring to innocent people and those he cares about…a danger he has kept from the Torpedo ink members。 And yes, we see Player, exhausted and a bit delusional fall back onto the code Czar instilled in them for their safety and insult Zyah in the most insulting way a man can。What follows is a beautifully written paranormal tale of a journey to love, through the use of psychic gifts and connection as they try to solve his psychic chaos that’s putting everyone in danger。 At the same time reality takes Torpedo Ink on a hunt for thieves and murderers! Zyah’s a strong woman who’s always known love and must learn what it’s like to love a man who has broken and tortured soul。 Player’s a man who doesn’t know love or feels he knows how to give or receive it and must learn to not use his past as an excuse not to grow to the potential he has and let others in and move forward。 It’s an emotional must read must experience! Just know it includes a “I can’t believe Christine did that to him” plot twist! My heart breaks for Player as he his nightmares reveal what his life with Sorbacov was like, what he did for the happiness the others even though it tortured him, but what was worse was how Player made it a point to try and convince Destroyer he belonged with the Torpedo Ink family, deserved his spot with them, and he soothed Zyah, by convincing her that the facts were needed, had to be shared and discovered before judgement was passed… yet he denies his worthiness of both。 The fact that Zyah doesn’t reject him or judge him makes him feel more shame。 He wasn’t worthy of her。 Her grandmother, Mama Anat is driving force to move him forward, with wise words and a kind heart。 She grows to be special to him and all of Torpedo Ink as they become part of their lives。How does he prove he’s ready to move forward, more of the must read… Love his lessons learned through SeaHaven friends and even the advice from his Sisters。 This book is full of strong intelligent women! Love their addition to the plot that helps Zyah and Player move along the road to a Happily Ever After。 As their relationship grows, Player and Zyah follow their psychic connection to try and solve what’s disrupting his gifts, making him a danger to everyone。 They both learn that being open to giving and receiving love happily includes the hot sex and help they can give each other, too。 His issues finally force him to tell Czar the secrets he’s kept, I hope the reaction from Czar and the other members of Torpedo Ink, also pointing out how he saved them, take away his guilt, his feeling of odd man out。While working on his psychic dangers, they spend so much time looking for clues in his past they almost miss the true danger staring them in the face! Oh the revelations that come from it when they figure it out! And Torpedo Ink, along with law enforcement from Sea Haven close in and deliver karma to those who threatening the elderly in Caspar and Sea Haven。 Bringing action and the teamwork they do so well! The moments of humor and bonding between Zyah, Mama Anat, others, and the members of Torpedo Ink are so well written! As usual, one member finding love brings more to the rest of the club, too。 But I believe more so in this journey。。。 I love how Zyah, Mama Anat, and the community of Sea Haven (some favorites!) and Caspar help the members of Torpedo Ink understand more of their new normal。 The events that move the plot reminds us how special Sea Haven is and shows how Caspar is beginning to become not just a place to exist but a home for these tortured souls。 I can’t wait to revisit this series and see where they go from here! 。。。more

Wow!Just one word for Christine Feehan's latest Torpedo Ink novel, Reckless Road。。。WOW! Once again Christine pulled me in to the magical world of Sea Haven, Casper and the motorcycle club of Torpedo Ink。 This book has everything I have come to love from Christine Feehan, great characters, you can't help but love, a fantasy world full of quirky people with pyschic gifts, plenty of steamy sex and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seats。 If you have not read any of this series before , DO S Wow!Just one word for Christine Feehan's latest Torpedo Ink novel, Reckless Road。。。WOW! Once again Christine pulled me in to the magical world of Sea Haven, Casper and the motorcycle club of Torpedo Ink。 This book has everything I have come to love from Christine Feehan, great characters, you can't help but love, a fantasy world full of quirky people with pyschic gifts, plenty of steamy sex and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seats。 If you have not read any of this series before , DO Start! Her main characters, the members of Torpedo Ink, are all tortured individuals who are trying hard to fit in to a world they really don't have any background in。 So they hang out on the fringes。 Beneath their scary exteriors though they have a strong moral code of honor and a protective instinct especially for vulnerable women and children。 Christine Feehan always tackles the hard topics of pedophiles, human trafficking, sexual abuse and just plain evil。 This book she deals with traumatic brain injury, the use and abuse of pyschic gifts as well as abuse of vulnerable elderly in a community。 In each book in the series she has continued to develop the the men and women of Torpedo Ink helping you to understand their different proclivities and personalities。 Also each of their paranormal psychic abilities are further explained as the series goes on。 All her novels include erotic sex scenes and some have accused her of being over the top with steamy sex in previous Torpedo Ink novels。 But with Reckless Road I believe the sex helps the reader to further understand how deeply broken Torpedo Ink members especially the main character, Player , believe themselves to be。 With that brokenness, it's easy to see how difficult it is to trust anyone outside their group and yet Player and the rest continue to find the courage to interact with the community they have chosen to build their homes in。 In Reckless Road , Christine does what she does best, combining romance, with an edge of your seat plot, lots of suspense while bringing the reader closer to a community full of fascinating people who love unconditionally。 I really loved the interaction between Player, the other members of Torpedo Ink and the quirky elderly people of Casper and Sea Haven。 I also like that in Player, his lover Zyah and her grandmother Anat , she has introduced some different psychic abilities that really set these characters apart from previous stories。 And this book includes more interactions with some of her other loved characters from previous series。 This book is Christine Feehan at her best! I loved this book and am only upset that I now have to wait for her next book。 If I didn't have so much on my TBD shelf, I would re-read the whole Torpedo Ink series while I wait for Book 6。 Instead I will set my alerts so I can preorder her next book。 。。。more
